Comfort
Yesterday a very surprising thing occurred. Someone dropped off my package! Thank you very much Gary and Sue :) I am currently enjoying butterscotch krimpets (Tastykake), cinnamon tea and sitting in bed writing by the light of candles as well as the glow of my computer screen. What a treat to be able to do this, and at 7PM none-the-less ...

Rebecca! I have fallen behind on commenting on your blog... sad to think that I will not meet my goal of commenting on every entry... Anyway, I think you are so brave for having helped people in so many medical emergencies. I hope you find inspiration in your very difficult work.
As for me... This year, for the first time, I am not going home for Thanksgiving. Jess and I are planning on attending the Triangle Vegetarian Society lunch here in Durham... I have high hopes for delicious vegan food! Also -- I think you would be proud of me -- I will be dog-sitting for some friends over the Thanksgiving weekend. I generally consider myself inept with dog care after my college experiences fostering animals from the shelter, but I hope this will be a positive experience that brings me closer to being a "dog person".
